This Privacy Policy explains how QuanMed ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use QuanMed AI and the Neutron assistant (the "Service"). We act as the data controller.

1. Data we collect

• Account data — name, email, and authentication identifiers (from Google or Apple, or a password you set).
• Conversations — the messages you send to Neutron and its responses, so we can save your chats and provide context.
• Usage data — message counts, plan status, and basic device/log data.
• Payment data — handled by Stripe; we receive your subscription status and customer ID, not your full card number.
• Wearables data — only if you choose to connect a device in future, and only with your explicit consent.

2. How we use it

• to provide, personalise, and improve the Service;
• to manage your account, subscription, and billing;
• to maintain security and prevent abuse;
• to communicate with you about the Service.

We do not sell your personal data. Health-related information you provide is treated as sensitive and handled with additional care.

Access by our team: authorised QuanMed staff may review your conversations and account data where necessary to operate, support, secure, improve, and ensure the safety of the Service. Access is limited to team members who need it, and health-related content is treated as sensitive.

3. Processors & third parties

We share data with service providers who process it on our behalf, including:

• Vercel (hosting) and Neon (database);
• Stripe (payments);
• Anthropic and OpenAI (AI model & embeddings) and Pinecone (search index) to generate Neutron's responses;
• Google and Apple (sign-in), and PostHog (analytics).

Some providers are outside the UK/EEA; we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

4. Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service or meet legal obligations. You can delete your conversations, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data.

5. Your rights

Depending on your location (including under UK/EU GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@quanmed.ai.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and, with analytics, to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

7. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy; material changes will be notified via the Service or by email.
